Display it!

The thing I was most excited about when I was getting married was taking my husband’s last name.   The “cherry on top” is that I had a difficult to pronounce maiden name (Gische) and was getting to replace it with a more common surname (Watkins).  Needless to say, my monogram was everywhere at my reception.  I now have my topper in a shadow box in my living room and it is a daily reminder of my wedding day and how proud I am to be a Watkins.  This picture is not the one of my actual topper but it shows how it can look just the same.  I hope you love your topper so much that you also want to display it proudly in your home.

Ocean Blue Cake Toppers

I just love this color combination.  It’s a darker variation of my home page but has a similar feel.  Swarovski offers a lot of crystal colors and there is a lot of variety when it comes to the marine blues.  I think these are the perfect colors for a destination reception on a beach.  The colors make you want to just jump right in!

The passion of purple…

This is one of those cake toppers that I have a hard time letting go of.  I love purple as it is, but with some Fuchsia added in, it’s irresistible eye candy!

The server set was faded from Amethyst to Fuchsia to Lt Amethyst to Crystal AB to Crystal.  I don’t usually span such a wide range but it came out so well that I am excited to try it with the other colors.

Peacock feather colors

One thing Swarovski colors exude is vibrance. There are a great selection of colors to choose from when trying to tie in with a peacock theme. The outcome is shown here:

Crystal feathers in the same colors can also be used on other areas of the cake, as “cake jewelry” for the cake tiers.

25th Anniversary Topper

I wanted to show that even adding small shapes to accent the numbers helps personalize the topper for the event and brings more life to the number topper…

An idea I recommend for birthdays, especially sweet sixteens and quinceaneras, is to use both the initial and number together. I conveniently call this my “birthday monogram“.

Complimentary colors for Amethyst

With over 60 colors available to devise your perfectly customized crystal cake topper from, believe it or not there are plenty of color mixes that I have yet to see. Even after 3 years, some results catch me off guard. This is one outcome that struck me and now I recommend these colors all the time.
