Cinderella Castle Cake Topper

A perfect way to incorporate the proposal into the wedding day is to let the cake topper symbolize it.   This is becoming more and more popular but remains unique to each couple. In this case, he proposed to her in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Disneyland.   Using the castle as a cake topper is a great way to share the story with guests.

Platinum Weddings

I had a DVR set to record, a video camera in one hand, and a digital camera in the other to be sure and capture Daneris and Hector’s custom logo cake topper as their big day was covered on WE TV’s Platinum Weddings.  It aired May 24th and is scheduled to air again June 28 at 2 pm EST.  Beyond exciting!

A special thank you to Tina LaMorte at Oh So Fab for bringing the topper into the cake design.

Apple of my eye

I never knew an apple could look quite so elegant.  I was really excited when I received this logo and was asked to make it into a cake topper.

And here is the outcome…

Finally: A Firefighter Cake Topper!

I run into intricacy issues with many custom shape requests but I am thrilled to have finally found an image that can be used for a firefighter’s event theme.   This is one of the most frequent requests I get and while I can’t pull off a fire truck, I think this design is the perfect replacement.  Only the fire hat was crystalled in this example but everything can be covered!

“Gruma” was grueling!

This is to date the most intricate topper that I have done.  I wanted to post this custom piece as an example of the extent of complexity that I can achieve in a cake topper.  The more color changes and places where the metal stops/starts is what made it so challenging but I am pleased with the outcome and excited that it might get air time (more on this as I get the details).

Call me nosy but I always like to know the background story on the items I make.  From the “Gruma” website: Gruma is the worlwide leader in corn flour and tortilla production.  I will never eat another tortilla chip without thinking of this topper!

Snowflake cake jewelry

Just when all the holiday decorations were put away and I was feeling glum that the countdown to winter had to restart, Sherri from The Pastry Studio emailed me this picture from a “winter wonderland” event.  She consulted with me on the addition of snowflakes to give it the ‘pop of color’ and the outcome is stunning.
