icki Sigg (knot name "TheresaV") created the crystal monogram cake topper business after crafting one for her own wedding on April 23, 2005.

he had a crystal covered monogram in mind but a product like this didn't exist... yet. Even for the crafty Do It Yourself-er she is, the pieces required to make the letters were expensive and difficult to find. She didn't want something with a cheap plastic look and feel, it had to be an elegantly crafted piece of metal. The aluminum letters had to be custom made, but light enough to not sink into the cake and with pegs strong enough to hold the letters up. Vicki's creative talent combined with plenty of trial and error left her with cake topper masterpieces. She has perfected what size letter looks best, how many color combinations work well, and what size crystals provide the most thorough coverage.

ot unlike Vicki, I searched high and low for a unique cake topper other than the typical bride & groom or run of the mill acrylic heart. I was referred to Toppers With Glitz, and knew that the Topper would make just the right statement I was shooting for: elegant, glamorous, sophisticated, and timeless... but with a modern edge. It was a random forum post that led me to work with Vicki, her cake toppers were getting so popular that she needed some help with filling all the orders. So I started working for Vicki in August 2005, learning quickly how high her standards of excellence were. She trained me every step of the way, teaching me everything she knew. Our dedication to quality was parallel and she perfected my work until we could no longer tell our pieces apart.
